Benefits of recycling scrap metal
Recycling scrap metal has a wide range of benefits to the environment:
- Reduces the need to mine for metal ore
- Reduces the amount of material sent to landfill, preserving the land for better uses
- Manufacturing products with recycled steel results in significant energy savings compared with manufacturing with metal ore
